In
praise of the natural world, oil painter Judy Weiner
captures the essence of the environment in rural Southern
Oregon. Her canvases are superbly-developed, built in
layer after layer of textures in muted palettes, and
reveal both the innocence and majesty of the world about
us. Her greatest influence and driving motivation comes
from her love for, and research into, the techniques
of 17th Century Dutch artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon
van Rijn.
